Once again long time; no blog.
Shall I censor?
I've worked four days in a row at the bar; my first day being Saturday. I've had to deal with a drunk man groping me, a local guatemalan women who was too drunk to even attempt being coherent, and the typical drunk dude trying to make a pass at me while I'm behind the bar.
Volunteered the day after my first day at the bar and found children to still be shitheads. Quit that gig.
Working at the bar has turned me into a constant drinker/smoker. Undesirable, but it is what works for me. Unfortunately, this has resulted in my only eating a small lunch for those four days. My co-workers have noticed and try to tell me that eating might be a good idea. I am very happy living and working here. My health has not suffered, but the mosquitos have it out for me.
Surprisingly, Monday turned out to be really busy and rambunctious. My manager and I started to break the empty liquor bottles and be irresponsible. Afterwards, my manager took me to a food place by the alameda for some late night grub. On the drive home I got pulled over for my first time ever. Was very pleasant. Didn't even have to bribe them, just played dumb american gringa.
Fucking bastards.
On Tuesday, there were maybe nine people at the bar. A slow night for sure; at one point the waitress and I were playing Jenga. One man was sitting in a dark corner drinking by himself. He was not really interacting, but me being a n00b bartender I tired to talk to him. I found out a few details about him. Only once he is finished with his beer does he ask me if I want to know his real story. I reply in the affirmative. He tells me he is a junkie. He recently got codeine (I sympathized because codeine is pumped-up Tylenol), and later that day he was getting a prescription for morphine. I do not usually care for strangers, but I suddenly had this want for him to better himself. I told him that I hope he finds what he needs to find and to come back soon.
THE FEELS.
Uhhhhh let's see..
Song currently stuck in my head: Lights - And Counting
