Spanish and Spam

This week so far has been going very well.

I have been feeling rather isolated, but I now feel myself settling in quite nicely. I'm actually rather sad that I will have to leave in April in order to avoid a fine.

In happy news, I start my paying job officially on Saturday. Other than that not much else has occurred since my last post.

Oh, actually one thing has, in regards to my life back in the states anyways. I've been using my S3 here in Guatemala thanks to its handy-dandy global readiness. I switched it to spanish in order to fully immerse myself, but that paired with its smart phone features has resulted in a couple of mishaps. One of them was quite happy though. I stumbled upon my spam folder in an effort to retrieve a few lost messages, but once in my spam folder I did not find the lost messages. Instead, I found an email from my best friend that managed to have the traits of a spam message oddly enough. I never marked an email from her as spam, so Google bad on you.

She sent it on my father's birthday, and it was a lovely email.

Abridged, Guatemala is no longer a sweet escape for me.

Song currently stuck in my head: Avril Lavigne - Innocence
