Day One Done

Colored saw dust and stencils.

Working underneath the beating down sun can't be enjoyable, but as I passed the workers seemed to be having a good time.

I think it a little ridiculous to line the streets with these alfombras just to have them trampled upon, swept, rinse, repeat.

Careful
Around nine at night, we turned off the music as the procession came down the street right outside our entrance.

Forgive the overall quality of this photo. If you look near the bottom of the float/display/thing you can see all the people that are needed to carry this thing.

Bonus photo. Everyone in the bar trying to get a photo of the second float/display/thing through the window bars. By this point the bar had a strong aroma of frankincense. Way strong.

Just realized, should probably mention how my first day working in bar 2 went.

It went fabulously. I have never had so much fun working behind the bar.
