If my life were a television show: It should have been canceled after eight seasons, yet somehow it continues airing.
Recent happenings: my father's 70th birthday; my two brothers and my mother have left the country; forty hours of Spanish lessons a week.
Too early for writing.
Didn't get too much sleep due to the hustle caused by the three people getting ready to leave at two in the morning.
I think I'm going to usurp Sweden's throne. Seems like a rational thing to do.

Sick Twist
I had one less day in the states then what I expected. No biggy.
I don't really feel like writing that much today, so here are some pictures that I took within the twenty minute window before touchdown at La Aurora.
Probably should have taken pictures upon leaving the airport, as leaving La Aurora is one of the least appealing sights there is.
Not that Guatemala is an ugly ass country, but billboards every three feet is not a good look.

Maybe I'll Just Shoot Some Guns
Almost finished packing. So close! I'm saving all my laundry for the night before, so I don't have anything awaiting a wash when I come home. I managed to get my Xbox to fit into a shoe box, but now I can't fit my stuffed animals in my bag.
Still figuring what I want to do with my last night. I'm not sure how many other people do this, but I have a list of people I would want to spend my last night before a long trip. Not necessarily romantic and sometimes I have spent my last night just by myself.
I live a charmed life.

Do I Need a Unicorn Mask?
I'm usually a no nonsense packer, but for a three month trip I feel like I might need to bring some of my own entertainment. As such I've decided to bring an Xbox 360, Cards Against Humanity, my laptop, the entire works of Edgar Allan Poe, and my Kindle. Just looking at that list I can't help but feel like I won't be spending much time learning Spanish. Luckily, the days in Antigua just seem longer.
I'm still considering the pros and cons of bringing my unicorn mask. Guatemala isn't really a place where it is considered prudent to draw attention to yourself. Although it does make for some hilarious photos.
